Welcome to The Greatest Escape(room)! We're proud to say we are the original that launched the chain! Come and visit our unique escape room experiences, and then come again with every room update. We currently offer:
Alice in Wonderland [1-10 Players] [Moderate]
Enjoy a romp through a whimsical tea party in one of Wonderland's blooming gardens, but don't tarry too long if you want to keep your head on your shoulders! Use your wits and the elaborate arrays of sweets and treats to escape into the forest and avoid the murderous Queen of Hearts.
The Sorcerer's Lab [1-7 Players] [Moderate]
The sorcerer's left the lab for the day, and you'll need to make the most of their notes to break out before their favorite pet breaks out first and makes a snack out of you.
Scales of Heaven [2-12 Players] [Hard]
Angels. Devils. A weirdly hardy dog. Get out or they'll kill you (not the dog).

The Space Hub - Save yourself from certain death in an abandoned space hub where [insert PH text from corporate]. Survive to run out before your oxygen does!
The Grandmaster's Piano - Use the power of music to navigate your way out of a performance room with a [blah blah descriptor] secret. [add more before publishing i guess]

Sooo marketing never gave me the copy for our website… Boss told me to just "make something up" because I'm "good with computers and that kind of thing", as if that makes me a content writer. I'm supposed to write this all at the desk, in between helping customers?? As if I ever get a break at this place. Ha ha.
The rooms here are pretty good, actually. I've run through all of them myself, and they're fun when you don't show up sloshed. We (not the boss, just us lackeys) make sure that everything's made up for customers as best we can despite our hours getting cut and our garbage pay, so maybe the issue isn't me, DAVE from PRESCOTT.
Come visit us, or don't, but I don't want to hear any more complaining because I didn't bend over backwards for you ten and half hours into my shift so you could do your escape room FORTY-FIVE minutes after your registered start time. If you show up sober, ON TIME, and actually READ and LISTEN to the prompts then it'll be worth your money! If you don't, then it won't be! Stop making it my problem!!! I'm too busy trying to get people to stop feeling each other up in the Wonderland room!!!!!!

ABOUT THE GAME
Unfortunately, you've arrived late for your appointment at The Greatest Escape(room)!; even more unfortunately, you're just in time to see the overworked employee at the counter finally snap after dealing with one rude customer too many.
Reborn as the Game Master, she uses her newfound power to send you to the escape rooms of her workplace–and while the settings are fantastical...
The consequences of failure are terribly real.
Solve puzzles, crack codes, do distressing amounts of math, and escape–or die!

This game is currently only to be played on Mac/PC. If you are downloading directly, please:
1. Unzip the folder
2. Click "The Great Escape.exe"
3. Enjoy!
We're also aware of a bug where the Mac build sometimes doesn't open. If that is the case for you, please install the game from the Itch app instead.

The mac build isn't working ^^;;
Oh no!! What’s happening on your end? Is it not loading at all or something else?
the app isn't launching at all huhu - it shows "The application TheGreatestEscapeBuildMac" can't be opened."
Hi there! We’ve been trying to find a good answer for you.
Apparently, it’s a known bug that sometimes Mac builds don’t open via direct downloading in the Itch browser for some people. The only tested workaround we’re aware of right now is opening the game via the Itch app, which is generally safer anyway. That should make the game work for you whenever a direct download doesn’t.
